I've been using this product since I got a sample to try before it was released to the public. It's absolutely amazing at how it draws deer to your mock scrape. I use it mostly for obtaining a photo inventory of who's around my properties. It's absolutely a must have for year round scouting.
I have found this works best with a rope or vine hung over the scrape. The scent is captured and retained longer. I use the ground scent generously.
