This is one of my friends target rams we call Left Hook. He's a stud class 4 ram that I hope he kills. He's been hunting his hiney off for his hunt if a lifetime. Thank you for letting me be there!!
It took 14 days, 11 hours, 55 minutes and 52 miles of burning up the boot leather. My friend Bill and I had to overcome every obstacle you could possibly think of to make this happen. We literally only had about 35 minutes left in the day on the last day when Bill let the air out of this bull. We lost sight of him as soon as the arrow hit so we marked the map up and c... Read more
My son in law Tab waited 15 years to finally draw his AZ antelope tag. Him and got to do a little preseason scouting a couple weeks prior to the start of the rifle season. Found some decent animals, but we were mainly looking for something that would put us in a little more secluded area that had a good herd of does. We had got it located and planned our strategy for ... Read more#vortexbroadheads
Here's my good little buddy Judah from Midland, TX and his first mule deer he killed in AZ. The unit he drew in AZ isn't known for many deer, but does hold some decent bucks. On the opening day Judah let a younger buck walk and then on the second day passed on another before he made a perfect 350 yard shot on this buck. Thank you for letting me be there Judah!!#vortexbroadheads
Gary WhitbeckUr a good man with a great attitude. Praise the Lord.
Gary WhitbeckI like the shape of that buck. You had a good hunt and, I'm sure, a good time.
Here's my old friend Mitch holding his 170 5/8", 11 year old desert sheep he killed 2019. Mitch drew this tag on the first time he applied for sheep in AZ. We all scouted very hard for his hunt and found this particular ram. He was the oldest ram out of about 17 rams on the mountain. This ram was killed by Mitch, but everyone involved earned it. It was an amazing time... Read more#vortexbroadheads
*Yes sir he was. We watched him knock the poop out of a ram that had another 4-6 inches on the old ram, but that younger ram had more work to do for the herd.
Here's my youngest son, Garrett. I swear this kid could catch fish in a Alwadi water bottle. He was fishing a small pond somewhere on the eastern slope of the Colorado Rockies and caught this nice largemouth.#vortexbroadheads
Here's my wife, Shelly and I with her archery javelina. We had to get her in pretty close to the herd to make sure she would have the best chance of letting the air out of one. I was VERY proud of how well she did negotiating the bluffy canyons to get within 20 yards of the entire herd. She picked one out and let the 75 grain Vortex broadhead eat. The javelina only ma... My old friends Jake and Justin came through with an amazing gift in the form of an Audad sheep hunt. They met my dad and I in Ft. Hancock and we headed down the river banks of the Rio Grande and landed at Indian Hot Springs Ranch. The next morning we got hot after it and had some good rams glassed up immediately. Made a move on them and somehow they gave us the slip. ... Read more#vortexbroadheads
LUCKIEST shot EVER!!!! I was up in very northern top of Arizona helping with a desert bighorn sheep hunt in the Vermillion Cliff country. We were headed back to camp when me and Seamous saw this coyote crossing the road and I stopped, got out with my 1911 and while coyote was running perfectly broadside to me at 100 yards I let it rip. We both heard that unmistakable ... Read more#vortexbroadheads
Here's my niece Kalee with her archery javelina. The average javelina weighs approximately 35-40 pounds. This javelina she killed with the American Archer Vortex broadhead tipped scales at 63 pounds!
It took me 21 years to draw my second Arizona archery antelope tag. I had to buy points for several years due to deployments and the other times I just didn't get drawn. When I finally did I told myself that I was going to kill my antelope spot and stalk or go home empty handed. There was one little spot that had a small hill they would hang out near and it took until... Read more
*Thanks again Gary. That was my second antelope I killed with a bow. I've never killed one with a rifle. The first year I drew an AZ I didn't fill my tag. Then I got a tag in New Mexico and let the air out of a 85 5/8" buck on the first day of my hunt. I'll take a picture of the mount and post it.
Gary WhitbeckThat's something to get one of those speedsters with a bow.
