Great Glass but There Are Issues
I guide big-game hunts in Idaho. I had a client who happened to be a Zeiss dealer and showed off the maker's Victory Rangefinder 10x42. I was hooked I bought the unit for the fall 2019 season. The first year and half, I absolutely loved these things. They were accurate and very clear. For the past few months, however, I have been getting wrong readings. Whenever I range 100 to 200 yards, I have been getting readings that from 1,500 to 1,700 yards. I have tried ranging the same distance in different directions, sunlight, and targets, but I still get the same false results. I have reached out to Zeiss multiple times without a single response.

Defective Out of the Box
I will start by saying that i am a big fan Zeiss Optics and will continue to use their products--I know things aren't always perfect. For example, I bought a Conquest V4 6x24x50, and it arrived, new out of the box, with slanted crosshairs, which disallowed me to level the scope properly on the gun. I emailed Guidefitter, and they got me all set up to return it. My only frustration would be that the scope was defective new out of box and I had to pay $40 to ship it back for warranty. I'm still waiting for it to be returned, but I look forward to getting it back soon and using it this fall.
