Never had the opportunity to hunt growing up, so it became a big goal when I was transitioning out of the army. Moved back to Oklahoma and got a little piece of land and harvest deer off it.... Read more#pronghorn #whitetail #muledeerhunting #elkhunting
The second Sunday during gun season here in Oklahoma I took a childhood friend who was in town out to some public land a little over an hour from my house. I wasn't expecting much because of how rough public land can be around here but I had seen a spike the week before and my buddy just wanted any deer to take back to Montana with him. We walked in, a little over a m... Read more#huntingtrip #hunting #huntingtrophy #bragginwall #brag #oklahomawhitetail #oklahomahunting ... Show more
Gary WhitbeckGood story! Congratulations on the buck.
What a week. It's hard to sum up in words just how incredible this last week has been. To start off, myself and a buddy drove up to northeast Colorado and met up with a friend who had drawn a muzzleloader buck antelope tag. For three days we put on stalk after stalk, constantly getting close to some great antelope but just not being able to close the deal. Then on Sat... Read more
Throwback to this buck I harvested with my bow a few years ago. Stoked for the upcoming season. Going to start it off with antelope in Wyoming, then deer at home in Oklahoma, then joining a buddy on his hunt in New Mexico for deer in the Gila National Forest. 🤙🏻 #deer #deerhunting #antelope #publicland #wyoming #newmexico #oklahoma #whitetail #pronghorn #couesdeer #... Went duck hunting yesterday morning on public land for the first time. It was 2° outside with a -18° wind chill. We got a good section of ice broken out and pushed under the other ice and threw out the decoys. Every half hour or so we'd have to walk back through and re-break all the ice because it would instantly start re-freezing. Had a couple groups of ducks fly thr... Throwback to Wyoming in October. Bumped into this stud while looking for elk. He just chilled at about 75 yards and didn't move a muscle like he knew we didn't have tags in our pockets. It was a pretty cool experience being that close to that nice of a buck on public land.
Gary WhitbeckThat was fun. Maybe next year u can tag him.
Had a very successful trip to Wyoming back in October. I filled both of my antelope doe tags then we headed to the elk unit and scouted for 4 days. It all paid off when John filled his cow tag on the evening of opening day, and my other bud Will filled his cow tag after I had to pack up and head back to Oklahoma for work. Great memories! And I also found a set of elk ... Read more#huntingtrip #hunting #eatwhatyouharvest
Well I've hunted my property two seasons now and harvested two whitetail deer. This photo is from the first season and my very first deer harvest. I'm thankful to have property to hunt and I'm getting out and exploring public lands more. I hope to have a lot more posts and experiences to share this fall.
