These longer rods let you put the bait right in front of the fish’s face as you see it on the livescope. You are no longer fishing for a school of fish but for a single fish in that school. Josh wanted a lighter, more balanced rod for this live scope technique. Most of the rods on the market are heavy and very tiring to hold all day long. The Hyperlite Series really addresses this problem making it a lighter, more sensitive and balanced rod. These will be available in the most popular lengths of 10, 11, 12 and 14 feet. These are all 2 piece casting rods but many of the crappie pros will also put small spinning reels on them.
