Careful with sizing. Huge.

The Shield Uninsulated Waders from Gator Waders seemed durable, but I ran into a different problem. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 175. I ordered a size 10 long, and the waders are absolutely huge. I could literally fit two of me in them. I called Gator and asked about the sizing. The lady I spoke with gave me nothing but attitude and didn't know sizes even after asking me what I wore in pants. I asked about returning them, and she told me to refer to Guidefitter, and she couldn't help. I'm sad because the waders seemed decent but were outrageously too big. I cant imagine how big the "Stout" version is. If you are "stout" I recommend trying the regulars first. I'm still trying to figure out my return though, and Gator did NOT seem too inclined to help a Guidefitter user on one.

Great alternative to Banded

Definitely better made than the Banded waders these no doubt were modeled after. The straps are super nice and the belt it comes with is comfortable as well. The waders look good and are plenty warm with the insulation and proper layering. Even in a 14 King the boots were a little tight over the top of the foot, hopefully those break in a bit. 4 stars but definitely recommended ESPECIALLY for the price!

Ready for ducks

I was so excited to try these on, I opened it up as soon as they arrived at the office. The boots on these waders fit better than any of the muck boots boots I own (lacrosse, DryShod, The Muck Boot Company). The integrated hand Warner will be phenomenal during the season. Plenty of room for layering. 5'8 150lbs size 8.5 normally in boots. These are a sz 8 & the shoulder straps are tightened all the way.

Best wader for the money

I bought a set of these in a size 8 regular, they were a little tight for me around the calves, but i loved them so much i bought another pair in a 10 stout. I am 5'5 about 180 lbs, my shoe size is a size 9, and My calves are about 17 inches round and even in the stout they are a little tight but they don't cut off circulation and i can still layer up for the cold hunts. The stout size is a little baggy on me since im so short, but it allows a ton of room for layering. I have tried banded and Drake waders and in my opinion these are much more comfortable.

Great waders

I use these at least 3 a week during duck season and they are very comfortable and keep me warm. Gator Waders has an excellent warranty and I only buy from a company if they stand behind their products and Gator Waders will. I highly recommend any of their products.

Perfect!!

I've been waiting for boots like these for a long time. I wanted shorter boots that were comfortable, water proof and not too big. I was amazed at how comfortable these are and the grip on the bottom of my boat is great. Even the diamond plating. I used them recently in Alaska as well as off the coast of oregon. A great addition to my fishing arsenal.
