Having the best optics, in my opinion is rule #1 for hunting the west! I do not shortcut at all with these important tools. I like to travel light and will not tolerate bulky items to slow me down or get in the way.
I go light in the way of a backpack and minimize what I take with me on the hunt. Most of my hunts are day hunts, but the pack I use now I can fit spotting scope, 15's, water, filter, snacks and food for 2 days, as well as a small supply of medical items. There is room for additional clothing layers as well. I do also pack essentials for breaking down an animal.
I prefer to hunt with minimal gear to travel light and fast when needed. I have had great success with these items while treading light.
I am not a huge supplement and nutrition guy, but I have added a few hydration supplements to help with filtered water taste which adds bonus hydration, focus, and energy when needed.
When it comes to clothes, I put things through the ringer and expect them to hold up if I am paying a premium price. I like to layer and go as light as possible. Quiet fabrics are a must. I hate loud, noisy clothes.
I like to go with various Kuiu logo tops as well as Kuiu Peloton 118 zip T when moving in close.
I am a little old school when it comes to accessories. Basic and simple that works.
Simple proven equipment that will produce results without stressful interaction and needs.
