Lion hunting can be a hunt that invokes lots of questions regarding physicality of the hunt and different environmental factors. Like any other hunting it depends! Some lion hunts require you to be in sheep hunt shape, and bear the coldest of late season elk hunts. Others not so much! Here is my all around list for the easiest and hardest of days following the hounds.

Mountain Lions don't require much for glassing, but I do carry a pair of Vortex Razor 10x42 binoculars with me everywhere. You are exposed to seeing other creatures everytime you go out. There have been a couple of situations where I was able to glass across a canyon or up a valley to confirm a treed lion before making the long hike!
