Lightweight, small & compact. I don't mind carrying this spotting scope in the vehicle with me when I'm speed scouting. I rarely ever carry a spotting scope in the field with me, because I hate the extra weight. With the 12x50's I can see nearly everything I need to see.

Sig Sauer KILO5K. A budget-friendly option is the KILO1600 6X22 MM. I personally love the Sig Sauer brand because it has the technology to drop waypoints on your phone with the Basemap App.

I carry no less than 3L's of water with me while hunting big game. Trust me when I say you will drink way more water on this type of hunt than your average white-tail, etc. I like the folding lid on this system, I would never buy one with a screw-on lid.
