This is a general list that I use for when I guide sheep hunts and/or backpack hunts. I will modify it based off duration, mode of transportation to the hunting area, milder weather conditions, and base camp location/size. My modifications do not include additions to the list with the exception of utilizing Arctic Oven tents for my winter hunts. This list is based off over two decades of hunting remote Alaska. This list has been used for my winter hunts too, which have included temperatures as low as -35 F .This list is complete due to the hard lessons I have learned by not having critical items for hunts.

SWAROVSKI EL Rangefinder 10x42 Binoculars
Having the range finder included is nice.

Bino Harness

Alaska Guide Bino Harness with wind indicator and optics cleaning kit.

Range Finder

I have successfully used Vortex & Leica.

Firearms

Rifle

I have seen a lot of different brands successfully used for bows and rifles. I do recommend a 300 Winchester/WSM/RCM/PRC type caliber due to the fact that you will often encounter bears. I personally like shooting Ruger, Tikka, and Christensen Arms builds.
