High-quality optics are very important for every hunt, but in these Arizona public land hunts, they're essential. Competition is high, you're going to want to have every advantage possible. I've found that quality optics give you the best field of view. Swarovski Optiks are clear, durable, and dependable.
Your pack should be functional, organized and easily accessible, but most importantly, it should FIT and be able to haul large loads. I've gone through many packs and really enjoy this current set up.
You want a camp set-up that is going to withstand the weather and be easily put up/ taken down. Something to look forward to after a long cold day.
Nutrition is KEY to a successful hunt. Higher energy levels means higher moral. I love all the Mountain House and Peak Refuel meals. I do suggest bringing meat or some taste of home.
