Clarity and tested true, I have and use other brands as well. These are my go-to products. I love my badlands bump harness, but I find it too bulky.
Weight=comfort and having said that, I have found these companies to have found the weight zone with the comfort fit that works for me. 100+ pound pack-outs and 15+ mile days on foot.
My camp equipment greatly varies if I am going on horse or on foot. Again, my foot hunts are a couple of days max or long day hunts.
I use off-brand tents because I have had too many of them break for my motto, "be frugal".
I have found these to better my health, increase my stamina, and make my taste buds happy.
I've used them all. My advice is to buy multiple brands for variety of meals.
I am not brand-specific, I usually come down to what I have tried on to fit or what I find available in my smaller town to try on. Then have given away a small fortune in clothing that didn't perform how I wanted it to. If some of this seems out of budget, either buy a piece or two a year or opt for similar gear on sale. I also lean towards PrimaLoft vs down for the reason of tears and loss of loft when you get one.
I use gear that has good warranty and keeps me warm.
I try to balance weight with accuracy. The Christensen was very temperamental to get set up. The Kimber set up is a pound lighter and has been lights out from the box.
