I use the gear I am recommending because Nevada is very open and you might have to shoot 500 yards, but the optics you choose could be the difference between spotting the animals or not.
I am recommending these items for you because I use the gear myself.
The pack has a large capacity and plenty of extra straps to gear your game out of the back country.
The knives are best I have found, I love being able to have a sharp blade the whole time while processing grrr he game in the field.
I use scent control on my clothing and bathing. I use decoys to cut the distance down for the shot, as a blind and the Montana decoys are light enough for putting in your pack.
I use a wall tent for mid and late season hunts and tent cots early season.
I pack what I like to snack on. I recommend you pack what you like to snack on.
I recommend a rifle that you can shoot accurately out to 500 yards. The scope should have turrets or has capability to get on your game fast and with the right yardage Mark's inside..
I use the muzzleloders that I have listed below because of the many different choices these manufacturers have available. The bullets and powder below have not let me down during any hunt.
The shotgun I use is a benelli because I don't have any issues with the gun. The gun functions in rain, snow or shine and shoots accurately every time. The gun is very easy to clean and lubricate. I have had these weapons for 25 years. The beretta and browning work very well also, I used these brands for years before going to benelli's.
