Steamboat Lake Outfitters is a year-round, full-time professional hunting and outfitting service, specializing in fully guided Base Camp hunts, Zirkel wilderness hunts, or drop camps. In order to provide the best and most successful hunt possible.
SLO operates in Northwest Colorado, on private property, BLM Land and the National Forest. Elk and Deer hunts are primarily in GMU's 14 and 214. Mountain lion and trophy elk hunts take place in the Brown's Park area GMU's 2 and 201. Black bear hunts are based in unit #214 near Clark. Trophy deer hunters are taken into the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area GMU # 14.

A common guideline for a guided hunt is 15% of the hunt price if you feel you were provided with good service during your hunt, 10% going to the guide and 5% going to a distribution between packers, and camp help. A common guideline for drop camp hunters is 15% of the total price for the packers and their assistants. This amount can obviously be adjusted up or down depending on the circumstances.
