Located in the Afton, IA area we operate through nearly 3000 acres of beautiful and well managed Iowa land, and are located in zone 4. *We take pride in being able to offer the best quality turkey for our clients.

Gear & Equipment

You will need all necessary hunting gear, safety equipment and weapon you will be using to hunt.

Weapon Details

In Iowa, you can use shotguns or archery equipment to hunt turkeys. The only legal firearms for turkey hunting are .410, 28-, 20-, 16-, 12- and 10-gauge shotguns or muzzleloading shotguns shooting shot no smaller than size 10 through size 4 , lead or nontoxic. Muzzleloading rifles may not be used to hunt turkeys.

In addition to firearms, archery equipment including longbows, recurves and compound bows can be used to hunt wild turkeys in Iowa. Arrows must be at least 18 inches long and must be tipped with broadheads, or with bluntheads with a minimum diameter of 9/16 of an inch. Crossbows are not legal, except for physically handicapped hunters who have a special permit.

Pricing Details

Hunters will arrive the day before their hunt after 12:00 pm and leave the day after their last hunt before 12:00 pm.​ Bring a friend or family member for only $1,000 more! 2 Hunters for $2,500!

Permit & Tag Application Process

Applications are due January 1 to January 26, 2025 There are no OTC tags in Iowa.
