Landing directly on our vessel via helicopter, we offer two locations for our exclusive day trips allowing clients to experience some of the raw and untouched Fiords less travelled. The fishing and scenery is world class in and around both Nancy Sound, George Sound and surrounding areas. This truely is a unique New Zealand day trip activity. Fish species found in Fiordland and surrounding areas include Trumpeter, Terikahi, Kingfish, Blue Nose, Southern Bluefin Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Hapuka, Bluecod, Butterfish and more. The crayfishery is abundant, along with Kina, Paua, and mussels. Make your New Zealand adventure unique and have it etched in the memory banks for a lifetime.

What to Expect

· A scenic flight from Wanaka, Queenstown, Te Anau or Milford Sound in an Airbus Squirrel Helicopter (seats 6 people with a weight limit of 600kg and the front two seats with a 154kg weight capacity) over layers of magnificent New Zealand mountains · A remote 10 minute landing in Humboldts or Isobel Glacier or similar (Landing Site will be decided on day Weather pending) · Landing on the vessel in Nancy Sound or George Sound, Fiordland · Scenic cruise with options of fishing locations which could include top water fishing, coastal fishing, deep water fishing, and trolling · Experience wildlife on ocean and land · Use of four kayaks · Option for snorkeling, free diving or scuba diving if clients have gear to do so. We have weights, weight belts and scuba tanks onboard with a compressor for fills. · Fantastic photo opportunities · Quality chef catered cuisine, hot drinks and juice · Use of all fishing equipment – rods, tackle and bait · Use of craypots – clients can assist in setting and retrieving craypots · Fishing –Species and seasonal fish in the area include Tarakihi, Trumpeter, Flounder, Gurnard, Ling, Blue Cod, Kingfish, Bluenose, Hapuka, Bass, Southern Bluefin Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Crayfish, Mussels, Paua, Cockles and Kina. · Morning tea, a seafood lunch or similar catered to client and afternoon tea · Scenic flight from the vessel back to Wanaka, Queenstown, Te Anau or Milford Sound. · Three experienced crew members including a skipper, deckhand and onboard chef · The vessel has three bathrooms and toilets, three seated table areas, a viewing platform and seating on the top deck, front deck area for activities like fishing, pulling craypots and taking in nature and views · Helipad is on the top deck of the vessel

Pricing is based on one airbus helicopter and up to six people *Airbus Squirrel helicopters have a weight limit of 600kg. To take six people we require the front two seats to have a 154kg weight combination.

We have options to collect you from Wanaka, Queenstown, Te Anau or Milford Sound.
