Elandsvlei Estate offers tremendous African cape buffalo and plains game hunting opportunities. We believe in sustainable use wildlife conservation through ethical hunting practices by spot-and-stalk hunting on foot. In order to minimise hunting pressure, we only allow a select few hunting groups every year. Your group will have EXCLUSIVE use of the Estate during your stay. An African safari in the scenic Waterberg Mountains at Elandsvlei Estate is guaranteed to be an unforgettable memory that will last a lifetime for the whole family! If a member of your party is new to hunting, we also offer the experience of hunting a female antelope at half the price of a trophy.

Gear & Equipment

At Elandsvlei Estate, we cater to both bow and rifle hunters. For buffalo hunts, a minimum caliber of .375 H&H is required. For plains game, we recommend .270 or larger. We also have a .270 available to rent for your hunt.

Deposit of 50% of lodging (daily rate) required to reserve dates. Balance payable upon completion of hunt.

Camp/Accommodations

Elandsvlei Estate Farmhouse: Guests at Elandsvlei Estate enjoy the pleasure of staying in our Farmhouse which boasts 5 luxury ensuite bedrooms with modern African design and a refreshing splash pool. After a day of hunting, guests can enjoy gathering around the campfire. Our in-house chef will prepare delicious meals to enjoy during your stay. All food is sourced locally, including fresh game meat harvested on the Estate. Your meals will be accompanied by nice South-African wines or other beverages of your choice. To ensure your comfort, there will be a daily cleaning service and laundry will be done as needed. Just relax and enjoy your time in the bush.

Physical Requirements

Moderate physical requirements, we will be driving around the property in our Land Cruiser hunting vehicle. Once a target animal is located, we park the vehicle and pursue our game on foot using spot and stalk tactics. Physical difficulty of hunt can be adjusted depending on the needs of the client.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Most hunts no permit/tag required, only on a few specific species (Chacma Baboon, Common Reedbuck). Hunting allowed year-round.
