We offer an exciting opportunity to Harvest a Maine Black Bear over Bait or by trapping. We have 6 day 7 night hunts / trapping with meals and lodging included. Our season is four weeks long with excitement each week. Maine offers a chance at 2 Bears if you decide to Hunt and trap.

What to Expect

You can expect a deep woods experience away from the Hussle and Bussel, warm beds, hot showers and delicious home cooked meals. There's near by Awesome bass and Pike fishing, do it yourself or guided. Meet new friends learn how we pursue Black Bears and what makes our camp successful year after year.

Gear & Equipment

At Black Ghost Outfitters we leave no one behind! Week 1 & 2 light weight hunting cloths. weeks 3 &4 Warmer hunting cloths, Small fanny pack with flashlight, whistle, flagging tape. Favorite pillow, sleeping bag and toiletries. Most important your choice of Rifle , Crossbow, long bow or compound bow along with ammo.

Payment Information

• Hunt Packages are non-refundable
• Packages booked within 30 days of the hunt must be paid fully at the time of booking
• No credit cards. Cash and checks only

Cancellation Policy

• No rain checks unless schedule permits
• Cancelled hunts are not refunded, but a replacement may be found

Gratuities

• Customary, but not required
• Guides: 15-20% of the hunt price
• Cook: $50 per guest

Camp/Accommodations

Black Ghosts Outfitters offers rustic but comfortable hot water shower, generated power as we are a mile off the paved road. We also have RV camp spots and tent locations if you really want to rough it.

Accessibility

We offer Hunts for everyone. We use ladder tree stands and hunting blinds. Walks can be mild terrain to advanced. walks from 20 yards to 200. depending on the Hunter.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Permit can be purchased online at (url removed) or we can help with that. We will help with Tagging of your Bear and Game care.
