We provide guided Montana bear hunting in the spring and in the fall. Our guided spring bear hunts are often done using horses, which makes us a very unique option for guided bear hunts in Montana. The Swan Valley is home to some of the best black bear hunting in Montana. We are renowned for having four different color phases of bear. Montana bear hunting is pure fair chase, no baiting or use of dogs, in fact we can't even use scents.

Our bear hunts are five day hunts and bear hunters stay in our Base Camp in wall tents. Bear tags/licenses are over-the-counter and easy to get online. Swan Mountain Outfitters is unique because we can accommodate just about any hunter style including: walking, horseback riding or sitting on clear cut river corridors. Spring bear hunts are offered during the month of May through early June. Fall bear hunts are offered during October.

Spring bear hunters can upgrade to our 'Cast n Blast', a 6 day hunting and fishing combo. Great time to chase Northern Pike/Lake Trout.

Bear Hunt

• Adult Price: $4400
• Son or Daughter Price (25 years or younger): $2200

Cast n Blast $5200/Son or Daughter (25 or younger) $2600

Deposit: $1000

Terms & Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to reserve.  A secondary non-refundable deposit of $1050 is collected 6 weeks prior to the hunt.  The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

Camp/Accommodations

Wall tents with wood stove, cots with mattress, electrical outlet. Camp cook prepares all meals. Drive right into camp.

Physical Requirements

Horseriding, hiking, sit and scope.
