Versatile Cold Weather Boot
As a professional guide and outfitter, I'm in the woods 200 days a year. I've tried almost every boot manufacturer available and Kenetrek has proven time and time again to be the most reliable, comfortable, and weather resistant boot on the market. I've worn these boots at 14,000 ft in Kyrgyzstan chasing Ibex and Marco Polo and then turned around and laced them up for one of those cool, wet, late archery elk mornings in Colorado. To me, the highlight of these boots is the lack of break in period you experience with other brands. I know everyone's foot is a little different, but I can slide on a pair of Kenetreks and put 5-6 miles on in the high country and my heels are no worse for the wear when I get back to the campfire after dark. One of the other great attributes of these boots is longevity. In this day and age, a quality boot will cost about as much as a truck payment, so getting the best bang for your buck is a necessity. In the old days, I would go through a pair of boots a season. I'm currently on my 2nd pair and year 8 of wearing Kenetreks with little to no distress on my current pair. During the winter, I'm in my Kenetrek's every day chasing lions through the mountains with my hounds. Between long sweaty hikes and high snow, my boots end up on the boot drier almost every night. If I had to list one frustration with the boot, it would be that over time and many nights on the boot drier these boots shrink a little becoming a little tighter on my foot which seems to decrease the insulation value on cold winter mornings. At the end of the day, when my clients ask me the boot to buy there is only one answer, KENETREK.
