I put a vortex diamondback HP 4-16 on mine. It has a parallax adjustment to 30 yds. Most scopes have the parallax set at 100yds. Most of the time my targets are closer than 100 when shooting squirrels. But the 16x will let you stretch that caliber to its limits.

I put a Nikon monarch 4x16x44 on mine. It does a really nice job with out braking the bank.
Patrick Gallegos Big Vortex user myself. A basic diamondback 3x9 would be enough. There is one company that offers a scope called the sweet 17 that was created just for that caliber. Has built in drop reticles for set distances.

I think that's the BSA Optics Sweet .17. Thanks also for the Vortex recommendations from you GVPs. I'll check those out in the Guidefitter Grid. #vortexoptics
Rod Robert use a weaver grand slam 4 x 16 x50 excellent for that caliber
