I've used Eberlestock gear for years so when I was due for a new bino harness they were one of the first ones I looked at. The modularity of the Recon was interesting to me since my last one was pretty basic. I also purchased a few pockets to add as needed. My Leica binos fit in the small version and the magnet closure holds the lid closed well so far. I attached my Zoleo satellite messager, using their cradle kit and some velcro straps, to the molle webbing next to the main compartment. I attached a Blackhawk holster to the velcro panel that attaches to the harness to carry a compact Glock pistol and have a couple other pockets that I change out as needed to carry other items. Picture is the bear spray holder I use to carry a foam based attractant that I use at some mineral sites. The quality of materials and craftsmanship is exactly what you'd expect from Eberlestock and the whole set up is extremely well thought out. I've been using it also as a chest rig for Search and Rescue missions and it's been a great addition in that application as well.
