Pretty simple for me really.
I use this as a year round mountain hunting boot as long as it's not deep constant snow.
I usually prefer trail runners, but sometimes you want more protection from the ground, and a little support on the ankles. That's were these fit in. They're light, not as light as a trail runner but pretty light, and a full size waterproof boot.
The gortex is done right. My feet always sweat but these do breathe well. Again, not as good as a trail runner but pretty good for a mountain boot.
Traction is good.
The insole was the only problem, if you would call it that. I tend to do this with all my shoes and boots used for hiking, but I went ahead and put in some superfeet and everything was good to go.
Lastly, some say there's no break in, but it took about 2 weeks about 30 miles to get them broken in nice and good like. It's a good boot. I'd be interested if Crispi made more lightweight but full size options like these.
