Wildland Fire boots

Just got the boots, I have been wearing them for about a month here in the flat land. Wore them on a few prescribed burns, but mostly wore them doing forestry work.
Here's a few things I have found

Pros-
-Boots are comfortable out of the box
-breathable boots

Cons-
-Not as waterproof as they claim; the morning dew soaked through the boots .
-laces are weak and broke on day 2 of woods work
-Technically does not meet Federal standards for Wildland Fire boots
