I just bought these in hopes of reducing the amount of unfazed and crippled birds I've been dealing with using standard steel shot. I was enticed by the front-loaded layer of super-dense Bismuth shot for added knockdown power, which is layered over a greater volume of steel shot to keep it affordable. So far, they're great. I went out on an afternoon scouting session and got buzzed by a wood duck. One shot crumpled her, and there was an impressive "poof" of feathers that I have never seen with any of my all-steel loads. They certainly hit hard, making them a great choice for ethical outcomes. I'm looking forward to conducting more "research" with the Hevi Hammer loads, and I will be confidently using them for Canada geese on hunts in the near future.
