We used a hundred dollar cabelas grinder last year we borrowed from a neighbor. It took all day to grind two deer. It kept heating up, and i had to keep digging meat out of the auger.
This year we splurged on the Meat brand through Guidefitter. Im so glad we did. We ground 5 deer in 3 hours and the grinder never even heated up. It's heavy duty, and all the metal parts appear to be milled. You can definitely tell the difference between things that are cast and not.
I'm so grateful to own quality and look forward to many more seasons processing my deer on my own.
