I use this pant for archery season as well as rifle. The pants are built well for archery season. Hip vents help during those hot September days. They are fairly resistant to clingy seeds and do fairly well against rips and tears. During rifle season they stay warm at temps down to the 40-50's. When temps get below freezing you want to add a base layer under them.
These pants will get wet on rainy days, especially in brush. Although, they do combine well with gaiters in wet or snowy conditions. On the other end of the spectrum, can get hot if you are hunting in temps above 70. Overall I recommend these pants. You don't need to break the bank to be comfortable with this pant.
