I have a Vortex Diamondback HD 10x50 that I love, but the case it came with leaves something to be desired. It was kind of awkward for me to use and I never really liked it. This past deer season, one of the straps came undone and I could just imagine my binoculars falling 15ft to the ground. I decided to look for another case.
My heavy winter coat and bibs are Badlands, so I wanted a matching case. I did watch the attached video and the presenter stated a 10x42 was about all you will be able to fit in this case. BUT, the case has an adjustable separator between the binocular and range finder shelf. I checked the internal measurements and compared to my Vortex and it appeared it would fit.
I received the item and after adjusting the shelf, the binoculars slid right in. The only problem is that my range finder will not fit since I adjusted the shelf. I had to tell myself that I did not purchase this for the range finder compartment. The compartment will open and provide a platform for you to place your rangefinder while in the stand. This works for me because before, it was dangling around banging into everything. I'm sure I can figure out another use for it in time.
The item is WELL made. Its easy to get into and out of. The straps are easily adjustable. The cords that attach the binoculars to the case cannot be adjusted. In my opinion, they hang just right, outside of the case. You will have to buy two key ring "O's" to attach to your binoculars allowing you to use the carabiners at the end of the cords (and one more for the rangefinder if yours will fit).
All in all, I am happy with the purchase. It would be nice if it was just a little longer to fit larger binoculars and still allow for rangefinders.
