I bought this to use as a camping cook set when we go camping or day hiking. The whole set packs into the pot and is held together with a bungee that goes from the pot handles over the lid. It's a set of dishes for four people, or can be used to stage and prep food for two people. I used it over a campfire so I can't comment on how it sits on a burner or a stove. The pot boils water like any camp pot will. The frying pan has a lockable handle so you don't have to worry about dumping your food while transferring it from cooking grate to table. The large spatula and spoon are two pieces that clip together and I don't know how well they will hold up for large food items like steaks, but the spatula handles spam and eggs very nicely. There are four sporks with the set that are adequate for eating, but if you're serious about outdoor dining it might be better to pick up a set of metal utensils as these get the job done but aren't the best at spooning or forking. No sharp knife is included so be sure you have your own. The plastic plates and bowls are on the small side but are sturdy. The pot, pan, and lid are stainless steel which cleans up nicely after cooking. There is a small drying rack for the plates which is nice. A small potholder is included but for any serious fire you'll burn your hand so picking up an oven mitt is a nice addition. The weight of it might be a bit much for long distance camping unless you plan on doing some serious cooking. Overall I am very happy with the kit for what I'll be using it for.
