This light, it has a tighter beam but as you can see from the main picture, still opens up nicely. I generally gravitate toward tighter beams because I like their intensity.
You get a sturdy construction as it is all metal with no flimsy parts. This light also has a unique feature in that it has green and red that you can toggle to should you need to. This is the light you want period because it is versatile enough for all applications(First Responder, Hunter, Fishing, Hiking, etc).
My department issues Streamlight and nothing against them, but I trust my Fenix as it has never even so much as flickered even after dropping it to test it. I'm LEO and entering/clearing houses during fugitive apprehension requires a very bright and sturdy light. It is well worth the purchase and other counterparts always ask what I have because it is soo much brighter than what they are used to.
I definitely recommend this light. It is rated at 1600 Lumens and after using it and other brands, I believe it.
