I bought this pack for day hunts. After purchase we decided we would pack in and set up a drop camp. We loaded the bags down and began the trek. I was not really thrilled by the feel of the bag as we made the hike in, but it withstood the task. It was weighted down well over the expectation of a day pack (we were attempting now to use it as a 3 day pack). We got to the top of the mountain, set up camp and rearranged the bags to be used as their true purpose, a day pack. From that point forward i was impressed. The pack was comfortable and light making the multiple miles easier. The 1/4 thread works perfect with a V yoke which I used as my platform for my 375 yard shot. Next the pack out.. there is no way of adding that much weight to your back and being perfectly comfortable, but it was bearable. I feel as if we pushed the limits of the 80 pound frame and had no issue. We pushed the bags through trees, underbrush, and they got wet. Never an issue.
I did like the Velcro that held the straps neat to the pack, but in the mess off trying to get the meat loaded multiple of them fell off. I wish they were sewn in, not just situated in the loop of the strap. Make sure you get fitted properly and play with the frame before hand. I made the mistake and wound up fumbling my way through loading the meat because I "thought I knew". Take time, learn the gear, but I definitely recommend.
