First of all, these are the most well made binoculars I have ever seen, and secondly, GPO's warranty is the best there is. I ran these over with my Ford F250 Tremor at an archery event, and they still worked perfectly. I posted 2 photos of the damage- one shows a slight bend in the right side optic tube (on the left in the photo because they are facing the camera), and the other photo shows how the focus knob got bent downward. The damage was cosmetic only. I explained that on the phone, and also explained that it was completely my fault, and they STILL sent me a brand new pair of binoculars in the mail immediately! So awesome.
As to the optical quality, they are absolutely top notch. I have tried a lot of binoculars, and I honestly think that these are better than anything in the <_$1k price range, and competitive with much more expensive pairs. I tried them side by side with my friend's Vortex Razor UHD's, and I honestly liked mine better for a couple of reasons. 1) They weren't lacking anything optically other than a slight disadvantage in FOV, yet they're about $400 less. Clarity, CA control, edge to edge clarity, all just as good as the Razor UHD's. 2) The build quality on mine was noticeably much, much better. They eye cups on these are beefy and built with such tight tolerances that they have zero play. The armor is super thick, and the ergonomics are nice. The Razor UHD's had flimsy little eye cups that weren't even the same distance from the binocular when you extend them, the armor felt cheaper all around, and the ergonomics aren't as good. I didn't get a chance to test them against each other in low light, however, so perhaps the Razors would have had an advantage there. I will say though that these are excellent in low light, so I wouldn't have expected much difference there. I have also compared these extensively to a set of Zeiss Terra ED's and Maven B6's we had, and a demo set of Maven B1's I tried out. FOV is their only disadvantage to anything. They beat the Zeiss binos badly in every single category optically- CA control, clarity, edge to edge clarity, glare control, and low light performance. The Maven's were much closer and it was hard to discern, but these are just a touch better in terms CA control and glare control. Maybe just a tiny advantage in clarity as well. Low light performance was so similar I couldn't tell the difference.
At any rate, they are extremely, extremely good binos.
Overall, I'm probably a lifetime customer of GPO. I just don't think that anyone gives you near as much value/performance for the money as they do.
