After utilizing the ACOG for 16+ years in the Marine Corps it only made sense to get one from my personal setup. It is purpose built, and service proven. The fiberoptic allows me to leave excess batteries at home and provides room in the pack for other necessities.

The simple reticle allows for easy windage and holdover adjustments without having to mess with your turrets. Adding the RMR on top allows for quick transitions from distance targets to CQB and back with minimal effort.

I have seen very few go down during my service, and when I did there was almost always a wild story of extreme training or extreme accidents that no optic would survive. This speaks to its durability and reliability in real world applications. As well as being weather resistant in conditions from relentless rain to relentless heat and wind whipped sandstorms.

All in all, if you have the money and are familiar with the platform it's an easy choice. If you aren't familiar with the platform don't sweat. It is very simple to set up and learn with proper training. Highly recommend.
