After putting north of 100 miles on these boots over the past two months, I can confidently say the Crispi Colorado II GTX are some of the best boots I've ever owned. I picked them up early in the year, planning for a break-in ahead of archery season, but surprisingly, they required zero break-in. From day one, they were comfortable, supportive, and ready for the trail.
I've used them for everything, front-country hikes, off-trail bushwhacking, and even for rucking. Not only did they keep my feet happy, but they also made my older Garmonts and Asolos-boots I've trusted for years-feel like ski boots in comparison (ok...that's an exaggeration but much better). The Colorado II's strike the perfect balance: rigid enough to support my ankles on uneven terrain, but with enough flex in the sole to keep me quiet and sure-footed. Bonus-they're relatively lightweight without sacrificing any durability.
Thanks to this winterless winter in the SW, most of my hikes have been in dry, dusty conditions similar to early fall in the oak brush, and they've held up extremely well. After all those miles, they still look almost new (minus a solid layer of trail dust). I did catch one storm where the trail was covered in about 3 inches of snow and mud, and the boots performed like champs-excellent traction and I stayed dry.
I also really dig the overall look of the boots, but it's their across-the-board performance on all terrain that sold me. I'm confident these will be my go-to for hunting season and beyond.
Crispi nailed it with the Colorado II GTX.
