Pleasant Surprise - Xtasy is Amazing

This is my first Xtasy and I am shocked at how well this rod performs. It exceeded my expectations. It is slightly heavier overall than a comparable new GLX but that weight seems to be used to balance the rod better. I've fished it with reels from a Bates Hundo to a Shimano Bantam and it balances very well. As someone who fishes all winter, I prefer a rod with larger guides to reduce ice up but that usually comes at cost of balance, not here. I used this rod dragging football jigs and for heavier free rigs and am very impressed with the sensitivity. Like it so much I have ordered another one power heavier.
