Ranger 3 pack climbig sticks

I own tree stands but I don't use them very often. I'm more of a spot and stalk archery hunter, but I do use them occasionally. I purchased two of these 3 pk Climbing Sticks to have on-hand when I chose the option of a tree stand. Prior to buying the sticks I used screw in climbing pegs. I am not a fan of anything you need to screw in to a tree. Plus, often times they are difficult to use. When I was younger they weren't too bad, but I'm older now and things aren't as easy as they once were. That being said, when these climbing sticks arrived, I pulled them out of the boxes and put them together. I was please at how easy that task was. I can tell by looking at them that they will be easier to put up, and will work a lot easier than the pegs. I did attach one set to a tree at my home and can say, they will definitely work for me. Some say they are heavy and awkward to carry. well, I'm going to just attached them to my cargo pack along with my tree stand and walk to where I'm going to set them up. That's what I bought that Cargo pack for. besides, where I decide to set up tree stands is always well thought out.

Bottom line is just this: Anything that will make it easier, safer and more convenient for me to set up and use my tree stands, I consider an asset. These 3pk climbing sticks fits that bill, The price isn't bad either. I'll know more when I use them, Which will be this next year, but as it stands right now, I can't really see a downside. I think they'd be a good asset to anyone's archery hunting war chest.

One more point, They will also make my wife feel more comfortable climbing up and down! Now that's a cool deal, and definitely makes the purchase worth it.
