Vortex HST

The most important thing to know about Vortex is their "no questions asked" warranty - which is THE best in the industry, in my opinion. There is no comparison with competitors' brands in terms of warranty. I've used the Vortex HST 6x24x50 for a couple of years now and have really been pleased with it. I have it on a Savage 7mag and primarily a gun used by our clients at Arizona Trophy Outfitters. The scope is clear and clients seem to get in and get on animals pretty quickly. Turrets have a nice feel when dialing up to adjust the scope. The 6-24 power is good for hunting in the west with shots that may have to be taken out to 700-800 yards. I wouldn't recommend using this scope in the typical Midwest situation when the lowest power is 6. It may not be ideal for closer shots. A couple of things that in my opinion would make the scope better:

1. The elevation and windage turret stick out little too much for my liking. I get it, it's a tactical deal but that's just my preference.
2. In low light situations the scope is a little dark but something you can deal with.

Overall the price and quality you're getting in this scope is great and I'm confident you won't be disappointed.
