I haven't had it out for a real hunting trip yet, but the Beartooth 80 looks and feels pretty sturdy and comfortable. Compared to some other hunting packs I've tried, I believe this one will do a better all-around job of combining capacity with comfort on a long walk over rough terrain. Hopefully this fall I'll get to test out the feature of adjusting it to haul out the first big chunk of a critter along with my gear...be nice to save at least one round-trip. Anyone who has ever packed out an elk after harvest knows exactly what I mean here.
