I've only had this ruck for about two months, but I absolutely love it. With almost 12 years US Army Infantry and 4.5 years combat/deployment time, I know all about rucks. This ruck is the perfect size for a day trip hunting and even leaves enough room for an overnight trip. The additional padding on the back and shoulder straps ensures a comfortable hike. The rifle pocket fits my Bergara B14 Ridge perfectly. Unlike my G4 Operator, this ruck does not have a rain cover or butt cover and must be purchased separately. My only complaint is that I wish Eberlestock would make the side pockets big enough to completely fit a 32 oz wide mouth Nalgene bottle. Bugging out or hunting, I highly recommended this ruck!
The perfect size for my Bergara B14 Ride with SPS barrel. Add about seven more inches for the silencer and you will quickly understand why this ruck is so perfect. This ruck does not come with the "scabbard butt cover," but I highly recommend getting one.
These pockets are located on both sizes. As you can see, they are just a tad small for a 32 oz Nalgene bottle. I use the cinch lanyard and a small clip too secure the water bottles.
This bottom outer pocket is the perfect size for maps, MRE's. and much more.
This is the bottom cargo pocket. I normally keep my ghillie suit and/or overnight essentials. This pocket connect with the top pocket through a velcro "door" hidden in between.
This top pocket is very roomy. It's where I keep my hood, gloves and first aid kit.
The main pocket is spacious and roomy. Just under my tourniquet is a velcro spacer which will allow you to connect the top and bottom of the bag if you have longer things.
