This is a great system for areas with spotty cell service. I have had 16 cameras up for about a year at the property I manage. I fully plan to expand the system. I set the cellular unit up on a high ridge that was one of the few places I got LTE service. The farthest camera that links to the daisy chain is about 2 miles away! The system can be a little finicky to setup because the camera require a radio signal. Thick brush and hills can get in the way of this. Luckily we are in west Texas so that was only an issue on a handful of cameras. To overcome the problem you just set a camera somewhere in between where you are trying to go to use as a repeater camera in the daisy chain. The solar panels and the genius mount are a must have as they allow the battery to stay charged year round and the mount makes it easy to hook up to a Tpost hanger.
As far as the camera goes the pictures are high quality and the trigger time is fast enough that it has allowed us to use cameras to monitor our gates for security. The clock and moon phase/weather feature seem to keep good and accurate data.
The system gets very few false triggers even in hot weather. It can get false images if there are limbs and large vegetation in the zone during extremely windy days. This is solved pretty easily with pruners or a chainsaw.
Distance on the camera is adequate. During the day it is great, but at night I would say it leaves a little to be desired, but its better than most.
I have checked the SD card of the cameras vs what was emailed to me and what was stored on the SD card of the home cell unit and they seem to match up. I don't think it is missing any photos.
All in all if you are in an area with limited service this is a great camera. Set the home unit up to in an area with service and you will get emails of the pictures. If you don't have any service or do not wish to pay for the cellular feature then set the home unit up in an easy area to check and you will get the photos from all your cameras without going in and spooking any game. I will say the solar panels are a must for these units because if you aren't going to be in there changing SD card why would you want to be in there changing batteries? The SD card on the units themselves can be set to security mode so that when they are full it will delete the oldest picture to create space for the new pictures. This makes it a truly maintenance free - set it and forget it system.
