I purchased the Badlands Superday pack to replace an old Cabela's day pack that I used for years. It was a simple pack that did the job until my lab puppy decided to chew it up. I purchased the Superday because of a couple of factors. It has ample volume to carry layers of clothing during the day, it has a substantial waist belt which I find necessary for a hunting day pack, it has a rifle stock boot for carrying a rifle, and it has small pistol holsters built into the waist belt. Now I don't necessarily need the pistol holsters in North Texas but I plan on doing some hunting farther north in coming years and will utilize those then. The padding on the back and the waist belt is some of the most comfortable I've tried. The pack is a bit bulky when compared to some other brands day packs but it is a very comfortable pack even when fully loaded with a rifle strapped on it. For my purposes this pack is perfect. It fills all the blanks for what I think a daypack should be.
