I bought the Maxima Triad shafts due to their looks and a few reviews I read. One of my coworkers bought the Maxima Reds last year, so I knew to expect good accuracy, but I was hesitant to buy the Triads because he had three shafts break in his first couple of outings and in situations that other arrows may have survived.
Needless to say, these Triads have been outstanding for me, and I have been extremely impressed with them. I've had multiple side strikes and a few incidents of indirect hits on rocks, but I have yet to break one of these arrows. The Triads also are some of only a few shafts that I trust to hit the mark every time, as long as I do my job.
I have multiple archery hunts this year for antelope and elk, so hopefully I will see how they perform on game, but I bought them for better penetration over my previous arrows, and I have no fear that they will perform flawlessly.
If you are debating, this is definitely a worthwhile investment. I will likely use these shafts until I upgrade my bow, but I sure hope these stick around.
I did have a knock break while shooting, which was concerning, and after inspection, almost all my knocks are cracking internally when under pressure--so that may be expected. I will be replacing the knocks before my hunts so hopefully I have nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed.
