I am new to Crossbow hunting but have over 40 years experience hunting wilderness areas. Unfortunately age stops me from my compound but not my new Ravin. This little 4x3 stepped up for a mug shot to take break. I have sighted in at 100 yds and OUT OF THE BOX have 6" patterns. At 60 yds this crossbow is a tack driver and stacks bolts less than a 1/4".
The silent cocking mechanism is so easy you can do it in most tree stands without compromising your position.
With the Speed of this Crossbow I am hesitant to shoot mechanical broad heads so I am shooting fixed blade 125 grain that have proved to shoot consistently. I also noticed that accuracy improved with the 125 grain and silenced the bow slightly.
I am very impressed with the quality of this crossbow. I would pay attention to weight if you shoot a crossbow based on a disability. This one is a bit heavier than I expected but I am fortunate to be able to shoot from a rest most places.
ps... if this guys big brother decides to make an appearance I will change the picture ( hopefully as back strap )
