TLDR: A good glove for the price if you're doing more than just shooting and reloading. 4.8 stars isn't an option so I'm giving it 5.
These are exceptionally well made. They remind me more of gloves for football than for tactical purposes. I make that assertation based on wearing many, many pairs of gloves throughout my enlistment in the USMC. I based my comparison on Mechanix gloves of various makes and years, issued USGI Nomex FROG gloves, and flight gloves that I became partial to in my last year or so.
They are definitely more sturdy than flight gloves, which are for flight crews, not infantry work. I tore through flight gloves relatively quickly but loved how light and breathable they were.
They are more flexible than a USGI issued FROG glove and seem comparably sturdy.
They dry out much, much quicker than the standard "green or tan" Mechanix gloves which I used for years.
I first used these for a weekend in the West Virginia hills. To set up shooting targets we had to use ATVs and then our hands to get through thorny briar thickets. My forearms ended up being more torn up than my hands, which I used more to clear some of the brush that wasn't flattened by being run over. I then soaked them through by speeding over a creek and was surprised how quickly they began to dry out. With Mechanix gloves, once they were wet, that was it, they were wet for days unless you were in a desert. These were surprisingly dry by the end of the very, very humid day.
The glove for my left hand fits like "a glove" but the glove for my right hand is sliiiightly too long on every finger. I'm sure there is a challenge in making a glove for everyone.
Additionally, the advertised feature that you can still use your phone it true, but only in the most basic functions. I would compare it to texting frostbites, it works but barely.
