I use onX on my desktop to do virtual scouting and on my phone as a replacement to a handheld GPS. Being able to upload off line maps is awesome and ability to see all my notes/pins/lines/trails on desktop and phone is awesome. I regularly share pins with friends and sometimes even use it for work. onX is also continuously adding layers and updating the program which is a bonus. In the past I would locate free data and create my own maps but after a trial run of onX I will not be wasting my time doing that ever again, it's just too convenient for the price. Only downfall is I had to buy a couple of power banks when going into back country to keep phone charged up.
