That 981 Wasatch GTX from Zamberlan is a heavy boot that's built like a tank (not as tough as a tank though haha). I'm shocked people review these as having no break-in period. For the first 3-4, seven plus mile treks these suckers tore the back of my heels up like I was back in basic training. If the temp is over 70 I get bad hot spots. These are definitely for cold, wet country. I say love/hate relationship because the rubber toe started to peel up within 60 miles. At this price point they better hit 150 miles before tearing. However, after shoe gluing the toes and thoroughly breaking them in, I do absolutely love these boots. But it's a bummer I can only really wear them in the winter. I was hoping for the price I could wear these suckers year around. I also purchased the Lynx camo 🥾 from Zamberlan in lace and BOA. I'd recommend the lace model of the Lynx boot over this boot. I'll update the review on those boots as well (they fell apart too but they're freaking amazing). Overall, I kind of sort of don't think I'd recommend these - but if you got money burning a hole in your pocket and ok with a stiff break in period, AND live north of the wall - AAAAND don't mind shoe glue, pull the trigger on them! Haha

I don't recommend for hot weather…anything over 75 degrees and my feet fry.
