I'll start with the good. The Commander X+ Pack from Alps Outdoorz is comfortable and has more than enough storage. I've packed both elk and bear out with it and it held the weight just fine.
My complaint is how noisy the pack is to use during archery season. Every breath or step that I take, the pack squeaks. It isn't a loud squeak,= but enough that it makes it difficult to stalk an animal while wearing it. Each time I've tried to make a stalk, I have to drop the pack and then make my move. If it weren't for this, I'd say the pack is perfect. It is probably just fine to use for rifle hunting, but I wouldn't recommend for archery.
