To give you a little insight into my experience on tents and camping, I am a registered Alaska Master Guide and have been guiding since the '80s.

I have used many different tents throughout my life for various reasons, and this tent is the perfect fit for my wife and me while we are camping as it's amazingly light for its size. The design is excellent as it's solid, easy to set up, and gives plenty of headroom. I must include that the vestibule size is considerable for how simple it is to set up and how light it is.
The bottom line is if your looking for a good lightweight and light-duty family tent or just a tent to take out with a friend and want plenty of space in the tent and out of the weather for your stuff, then I would recommend this tent for you.

I would get these 2 things in addition.

  1. An oversized footprint, as there's so much room on either side of the tent under the rain fly and I like to keep things clean. I don't have one to recommend.
  2. Dagger gear loft, because you can never have enough easily accessible storage when camping.
