When I bought these binos I had several purposes in mind: elk hunting, antelope hunting, and shed antler hunting. I've been more than satisfied with the Vortex rifle optics I've bought in the past so I decided to "buy once, cry once" and invest in a really quality pair of binos that would be good for life. I did a lot of research and figured these would be the best bang for my buck. They were and they did not disappoint. I opted for the 10x as opposed to the 8x magnification as it's pretty wide open country where I live in Jackson, WY and glassing and shooting at long distances is not uncommon. Along with their main purpose for big game hunting, I also wanted that extra magnification for picking out fine detail at long range which is critical for shed hunting and spotting those tines in the sagebrush from a long way off. I've put them through a lot already and I've had no issues with rain, fogging, or any other problems that have plagued my past binos. The picture is incredibly crisp and bright, even at dawn and dusk. I'm sure that the included chest harness works great but I already had an S4 Gear Lockdown binocular harness and these Vipers fit perfectly in there and will stay tight to your chest when bushwhacking along. I would definitely recommend these to any hunter and although they aren't cheap, the price point is fair and it's worth it.
