Best all around field pant

I bought these pants for rifle elk season this year and they were a game changer. Stretchy, breathable, and comfortable, these were a great standalone layer on warm days and worked well with a baselayer near the end of the season. They didn't restrict movement at all and were equally comfortable sending it up steep hills as sitting for hours glassing. The knee pads are light and easy to remove, but hold up well to prolonged use. The rugged butt and knees were great for sliding down rocky hill sides and breaking through brush. Loved the flip top pockets and the side zips. Only complaint is that the metal suspender hooks can rub painfully under a backpack waist strap.

I plan to keep wearing them through the winter for hiking and backcountry skiing. Since I work as a fish biologist I'll probably also spring for another pair to wear for field work. All around excellent pants.
